UNIQLO Malaysia linen shirts: compare the long-sleeve and open-collar blend as different garments

A shopper searching for a linen shirt on UNIQLO Malaysia can reach two quite different garments. Comparing only the word “linen” misses both the composition and the cut.

The women’s Premium Linen Shirt, Long Sleeve page lists 100% linen. The women’s Linen Blend Open Collar Shirt, Short Sleeve page lists 62% rayon, 33% linen and 5% nylon.

Decide which difference matters for the outfit

If the shopping requirement is specifically a 100% linen shirt, the first page answers that composition question. If the requirement is a short-sleeve open-collar design, that is a different filter. Neither requirement should be silently substituted for the other.

For a wardrobe comparison, place the intended outfit beside the garment design first. Then compare the composition if that is also part of the preference. This avoids buying a different sleeve or collar arrangement merely because a fibre percentage looked closer to the original search.

Keep the product reference with the choice

The long-sleeve page shows product IDs 483868 and 475647 and notes that the same item can have different product IDs. The open-collar page identifies 483883. Retain the full name, selected colour and size when making a stock enquiry rather than sending only the general phrase “linen shirt”.

The two pages do not create a controlled test of fabrics. A difference in how either garment feels when worn cannot be attributed to fibre composition alone from this information. No shirt was worn, washed or compared for cooling or creasing in this article.

The practical choice is therefore explicit: the desired garment design, the listed composition and the selected variant. That is enough to build a useful shortlist without inventing a comfort or wrinkle-resistance ranking.
