When asking a Malaysian seller for a PIXMA G3770 consumable, the word “cartridge” can be too vague. Canon’s Malaysia catalogue lists ink bottles and a maintenance cartridge as different items. Start with the exact model and the message you are trying to resolve.
The catalogue separates the item types
The G3770 specification lists GI-71 and GI-71S ink-bottle types and an MC-G04 maintenance cartridge. Its maintenance note explains that capacity estimates can appear differently on a computer or smartphone and on the printer, recommending the operation panel as the primary reference.
These are attributed catalogue and support statements, not our diagnosis of a printer. We have not examined a unit, verified a displayed message or replaced a part. A warning reported by another user does not establish what your printer needs.
Keep the message and the product code together
Transcribe the actual message and identify where it appeared. Then record the exact printer model. If a supplier proposes a consumable, ask which category and code they mean. An answer about an ink refill is not automatically an answer about a maintenance cartridge.
Do not substitute an image of a similar bottle or box for the code. A product family can contain multiple consumables, and an offer may group them together for convenience. The written item description should make the category clear.
Separate identity from availability and price
Matching a catalogue code is one task. Establishing what a Malaysian supplier currently offers is another. Keep the seller’s package, condition and any accepted service arrangement in a separate record, with its own date. A manufacturer reference does not prove that a particular store has the item.
This guide does not reproduce catalogue prices or calculate a running-cost total. A quoted print yield is also not proof of how long a maintenance cartridge will last under your use. Those comparisons need their own conditions and evidence.
Our buying assessment
A precise consumable request is likely to be more useful than asking for “printer ink” whenever any warning appears. That is our editorial judgement about communication, not a test of the printer or a promise that buying one listed item resolves a fault.
Use the exact model’s current instructions for any subsequent action. Exact supplied variant, actual warning and proposed consumable: Needs editor verification. We make no repair, compatibility, warranty or lifespan guarantee.
