This comprehensive ranking presents the most loved brands in Malaysia for 2026, based on the latest Superbrands survey conducted by BDRC Asia, which identified over 650 consumers’ favourite brands across 109 consumer product and service categories[reference:29]. Google has been named the most favourite brand among Malaysians, topping the list with the greatest number of consumers marking it as their favourite[reference:30]. The search and technology giant’s dominance reflects its deep integration into daily Malaysian life through products like Search, Maps, YouTube, and Chrome that have become essential tools for work, entertainment, and navigation. A Google representative expressed gratitude to Malaysian users and expressed hope that Malaysians continue to find Google products enjoyable to use and beneficial to their lives[reference:31]. The top ten Superbrands also include Plus, Double A, AirAsia, Ogawa, Gardenia, Energizer, Panasonic, Maggi, and MEPS[reference:32]. Mark Pointer, CEO of Superbrands Malaysia, emphasised that the fact these brands have been voted for by Malaysian consumers as being their favourite brands is a testament to the recognition and standing that these brands have in the local market[reference:33]. Ninety-four per cent of respondents also reported being more likely to consider purchasing a product from a brand that has received the recognition[reference:35]. Great brands such as those in the Superbrands top ten list consistently deliver on this and that is why consumers identify with them and think of them as their favourite[reference:37]. Beyond the Superbrands survey, YouGov’s Best Brand Rankings 2026 provide additional perspective on brand health in Malaysia[reference:38]. Shopee secured the number one spot with a score of 68.0, reflecting how deeply the e-commerce platform has embedded itself into everyday shopping behaviour in Malaysia, winning on convenience, value, and reliability in a category where expectations are constantly rising[reference:39]. WhatsApp and Farm Fresh follow closely, highlighting the strength of brands that are used frequently and play a role in consumers’ everyday lives, spanning both digital services and packaged food[reference:40]. The top ten demonstrates strong brand performance across e-commerce, internet services, food, financial services, travel, and automotive sectors, underscoring the breadth of consumer engagement across both digital and physical touchpoints[reference:41]. While the top ten reflects long-term brand strength, the Most Improved Brands highlight where brand perception is shifting fastest[reference:42]. KFC leads the list with a 12.8-point year-on-year increase, followed closely by McDonald’s (+10.8)[reference:43]. Strong gains are also seen across packaged foods and quick service restaurants, with brands such as Maggi, Milo, Pizza Hut, and Burger King showing notable improvement[reference:44][reference:45]. Digital platforms and automotive brands also feature among the fastest climbers, including Threads, Proton, and Perodua, highlighting momentum across both established and emerging categories[reference:46]. These improvements demonstrate how quickly brand momentum can accelerate across foodservice, digital platforms, personal care, and automotive categories when consumer perceptions move decisively in the right direction[reference:47]. The Parents’ Choice Awards and Supermom Brand Awards further recognise trusted brands for families, with 1,554 mothers across Malaysia voting for the brands they truly rely on across twelve categories, from hospitals to banks[reference:48].
