The Coway Neo Plus has become one of the most visible water purifiers in Malaysian homes, thanks to aggressive roadshow promotions and a reputation for dependable after-sales service. In this review, we draw on more than 18 months of real-world usage in a suburban Kuala Lumpur household to evaluate filtration quality, temperature performance, service responsiveness, and total cost of ownership. Neo Plus uses a multi-stage RO filtration system with UV sterilisation, producing water with near-zero TDS (total dissolved solids). The hot water function is suitable for beverages and baby formula, while the cold water is genuinely chilled—perfect for Malaysia’s tropical climate. Maintenance under Coway’s rental plan includes biannual filter replacements and system sanitisation carried out by trained technicians. While the 5-year contract may deter some buyers, it ensures predictable costs and eliminates the need to track filter lifespans manually. Minor drawbacks include a plastic water tank and the removal of minerals during RO filtration, which some users may dislike. Overall, Neo Plus remains a strong choice for Malaysian families prioritising convenience, consistent water quality, and responsive local support.
